Over the past few years the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the leaders at the district levels were faced with the reality that members do not feel equipped to lead the association. After reviewing the structure of several other organizations within and outside of dietetics the decision was made to move to a regional model as our organizational structure.

In the Fall 2012 the Board started the move from a district model that included Madison, Milwaukee and the Northern area to a regional model that included five regions across the state (Southern Region, Southeastern Region, Northern Region, Northeastern Region, Western Region.

The move was started with Milwaukee moving to the Southeastern Region and the Northern area being moved to the Western Region, the Northern Region and the Northeastern Region. The Madison district moved to the Southern Region in FY 2013-14.

We are very excited about this change because this organizational structure allows for more one on one development because each region has members who represent their area on a smaller scale and also have the opportunity to serve on various committees at the state level for the Wisconsin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

If you have any interest in becoming more involved in these exciting changes please email eatrightwiscpres@gmail.com to discuss how your involved could benefit you professionally, as well as the association.
