WAND Northern Event - Environmental Toxins & Our Food System

Lynn Markham (Land Use Specialist) will provide research-based information regarding the overall impacts and effects of pesticide use on our health and environment as well as the toxins in our food packaging and other ways we can be “exposed” through food.

This event will not be catered, instead, we are asking anyone willing to bring an appetizer/snack/beverage to share.


Discussion will be lead by Lynn Markham, Land Use Specialist at UW-Extension Center for Land Use Education College of Natural Resources, UW-Stevens Point

Educational Objectives: 

After educational session, nutrition professionals should be able to discuss the latest research on environmental toxins in relation to our food system and how this impacts our health.

Offered for 1.0 CPE hours

Free for WAND members and non-members
