Join WAND’s southern region & the University of Wisconsin Madison’s student dietetic association as we partner to host a panel discussion on careers in dietetics.  Listen in as our speakers talk about their educational backgrounds, past and current career experiences, professional challenges and achievements, and so much more!  Have you been thinking there are only so many professional opportunities for nutrition, dietetic, or Registered Dietitian positions-think again!  Learn from these accomplished individuals during our discussion time and stick around afterwards for an appetizer and networking event. Our panelists include: Sarah Agena, WAND President & nutrition consultant, Samantha Schmaelzle, bariatric weight management dietitian with UW Health, and Monica Theis, senior lecturer at the UW-Madison, vice-chair for strategic programs in the department of food science, and co-author of Foodservice management: principles and practices

Learning Objectives
Attendees will be able to:
 - Identify opportunities for the role of the dietitian outside of traditional positions (EX: hospital dietetics).
 - Describe characteristics of successful RDs and explain how these characteristics can be used to create opportunities for dietitians in the workforce.
