Kelly received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed her Dietetic Internship Program at Viterbo University, La Crosse, WI. For the past five years, she was employed as a Registered Dietitian at the La Crosse County Health Department Nutrition Division. Kelly provided nutrition education and helped clients reach their goals through the Women, Infants, and Children Program and Prenatal Care Coordination program. She also counseled and provided support to women with breastfeeding challenges and assisted clients to offer healthier foods for their family. While working for La Crosse County, Kelly gave presentations to the public and to area businesses on weight management through the Healthy Living and Healthy Weighs programs. Currently, Kelly is raising her young daughter at home and is enjoying spending time with her. She is excited to be WDA Spokesperson and is looking forward to working more with a variety of different types of media. As an effective researcher with a strong knowledge base, she is able to provide information that is both interesting and understandable to the consumer.
