WAND NE Event - Instagram Workshop

Instagram is changing the way we eat. From unicorn food to smoothie bowls to matcha everything, food and nutrition trends are being born on Instagram, and registered dietitians need to be a part of the conversation. With over 800 million active users on Instagram, RDNs have the opportunity to share evidenced based food and nutrition information in a fun and engaging way.

Whether you’re super social savvy or an Instagram newbie, this hands-on workshop is for you! We’ll talk about everything from phone photography to Instagram stories to hashtags and more. Please download the Instagram app on your phone and create an account prior to the workshop.

Educational Objectives:

  1. What is the purpose of social media outlets such as Instagram in relation to dietetic professionals?
  2. How can tools such as food photography apps, hashtags and story features enhance my effectiveness on Instagram?
  3. How can I maximize evidence-based guidelines while still being eye-catching and attractive to both professionals and non-professionals?

Offered for 1.0 CPE hours - Learning Codes: 1020, 1090, 1100, 4100
