This event will include a networking session, as well as presentations from 3 experienced local dietitians about ethical considerations in their respective areas of practice, with a round table discussion to follow. 


Thomas Tio

Thomas attended UW-Stout where he received his BS in dietetics in 1982. He also received his MS in Food and Nutrition Science in 1984. Mr. Tio has been a registered dietitian since 1985 and had worked as an outpatient dietitian at Dean Medical center in Madison, Wisconsin from 1985-1987. He has now accepted a position at Luther Hospital (now Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire) in 1987 where he is presently. Mr. Tio has worked in all inpatient areas, though over the last 25 years, he has worked primarily in the areas of Nutrition Support and critical Care. Thomas has also been the Clinical Nutrition Manager over the past 5 years and oversees a staff of 11 registered dietitians located at the Eau Claire site along with 4  Critical Access Hospitals. Mr. Tio is also a member of hte American Society for Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition since 1990.
