JOINT ADVOCACY DAY WITH SNA-WI UPDATE - CANCELLED
With so many unknowns about the developing coronavirus (COVID-19), the WAND Board of Directors has made the very difficult decision to cancel the upcoming Advocacy Day on March 18 in Madison.
Because of the limited testing capability for COVID-10 in Wisconsin over that past few weeks, there are still many unknowns - including how many people may be infected and whether community spread has already occurred in our state. The health and safety of our members is paramount as well as the health and safety of the people they serve. While this was a very difficult decision to reach, we believe it is the wise one considering the facts we know - and don't know - as of today.
If you paid for your registration because you are a non-member of WAND, you will get a full refund but please allow up to 30-days to receive the refund. If you made a hotel reservation at the Madison Concourse, you will not be responsible for guestroom charges. Please call the hotel directly at 1-800-356-8293 to cancel your reservation.
While we will not be advocating as a group, we still encourage you to reach out to your Legislators in your Districts and discuss the importance of RDN Certification and Malnutrition in the United States. We've provided the leave behinds and session highlights for you to forward to your Legislators. We also encourage you to call your Legislators to talk about how important these topics are and let them know the important work you do.
I am sorry we needed to cancel and we hope you understand.
